INMEDIATA CORPORATION COMPLETES COMPLIANCE PROJECT WITH ECFIRST.COM HEALTHCARE

Inmediata Corporation has met the requirements of the HIPAA Academy Audit and Evaluation program for compliance with the requirements of the HIPAA Security Rule. Inmediata Corporation selected ecfirst.com Healthcare for its expertise in information security and regulatory compliance.

The purpose of the engagement was to conduct an assessment of Inmediata’s effectiveness in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) of its customers. ecfirst.com Healthcare used a combination of personal interviews, site visits, and assessment tools to collect information about the storage, processing and transmission of PHI at Inmediata Corporation.

“Inmediata Corporation, a leading clearinghouse, is an agile platform for the processing, tracking, analysis and management of healthcare transactions," said Allen Nguyen, President of ecfirst.com. "The management team and the organization places high value in being in full compliance with HIPAA regulatory requirements. We are impressed with the determination of the organization to address all key recommendations."

The HIPAA Academy is recognized as a specialized accreditation entity focused on enabling organizations for compliance with the requirements related to the HIPAA Security rules. The analysis was comprehensive, detailed and professional. The compliance of those requirements gives Inmediata an actionable road-map to further enhance the already strong foundational security of our organization, including PHI.
The HIPAA Security Rule requires all healthcare organizations, payers and clearinghouses – covered entities – to complete a thorough and comprehensive security and vulnerability assessment activity on a regular basis. This is defined within the Risk Analysis implementation specification section in the HIPAA Security Rule.
